Lunches
Once your child is attending school full time, you can choose to give them a packed lunch or order a hot meal.
Hot Meals
Hot meals are supplied by Forerunner, the food is of a high quality and very appetising. Menus are issued every term, each day offering a standard, vegetarian or jacket potato choice. I am sure you will be amazed at the variety of food that your child will eat when with their peers. Children in Reception through to Year 2 are entitled to free school meals under the government funded scheme known as Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM). Universal Infant Free School Meals entitles children in Reception through to Year 2 to have a free school meal, but you may also be eligible for Pupil Premium free school meals for which the school receives additional pupil premium funding, (for further information please see the pupil premium page under the Statutory Information tab on the website).
Children in all year groups whose families have a low income may also be entitled to pupil premium free school meals. Please apply online using the following link if you think your child may be entitled to free school meals. You will need to apply for each child. Siblings do not get automatic eligibility:

All meals are ordered half termly in advance. Parents are asked to order online directly by a specified date.
Children in Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 must order for 5 days a week and for all the weeks of the term. Parents will not be asked to pay when ordering.
Children in Years 3 & 4 do not have to order a hot meal for every day of the week, but orders must be placed by the Monday of the preceding week. Parents will be asked to pay when ordering and must make a note of the days they have not ordered a meal to ensure they send their child in with a packed lunch on these days.
Packed lunches
We encourage 'healthy eating', so please provide a healthy lunch.
Children are encouraged to eat all of their lunch, and we ensure that they have had a drink. Children have twenty minutes to eat lunch, so please send an appropriate amount for that time. If a child is a genuinely slow eater, we will allow additional time to eat. Uneaten food will be sent home so that you can see how much your child has eaten.
Please send your child with a drink for lunchtime in an unbreakable container. Fizzy drinks, sweets and chocolate are not allowed in lunch boxes.
