If your child is absent due to illness, please notify us as soon as possible on the first day of absence, by 8.00am where possible.

You can report your child's absence by texting the absence line on 07860054246, on the Parent Mail app or by telephoning the school on 01202 692700 and choosing option 1. Please ensure that you give a reason for their absence, their name and class.

Please keep your child home for 48 hours after they have been sick and/or have had diarrhoea.

If your child is taking antibiotics, we only administer these at school when the dose is 4 times a day or 3 times a day, and they have a club after school. Please come to the office and complete a medical form and provide the medicine in its original container labelled with your child's name.

Further information can be found in our First Aid and Medical Conditions Policy.

Please also see useful information on the NHS website. Is my child too ill for school?

School Nursing Team

School Nursing teams have a public health role in working with school aged children and their families, aiming to promote health and wellbeing. We encourage healthier lifestyles and provide information, advice and support to children and their families.

The team has links with other health professionals, including community paediatricians, health visitors, GPs and speech and language therapists.

If advice or support is needed, email dhc.snadmin.hub@nhs.net or call 01929 557 558 with your child’s details and a contact number.

If you are a parent/carer, you can contact the team for advice via text at ParentLine on 07312263131.

Please see the slides below for more information about the School Nursing team.
