Comic Relief 2019

19th March 2019

Springdale were delighted to have the opportunity to support Comic Relief again this year. The School Council were given the task to create a fundraising event that celebrated, ‘Even the smallest amount adding up to make a big difference’. With their thinking hats on, the children created the concept of a ‘20p fair’. Many meetings later with lots of ideas pinging around, 9 stalls were decided upon and plans were put into place. The children brought their plans to Mrs Hill for her approval; they even considered risk assessments, resources needed and budgets too!

The day itself was a huge success! Throughout the morning, each class were invited to the 20p fair. Our School Councillors showed so many PRIDE values throughout the morning, including determination to raise as much money as possible, perseverance to keep going when tired and enthusiasm to get even our littlest fundraisers involved. Their hard work paid off because the combined total for both the dress up theme and the 20p fair was £481! Well done to everyone and thank you for all of your donations!

"Pupils thrive at the school, developing outstanding attitudes to learning due to the excellent relationships they form with adults and the very practical, interesting and challenging lesson activities provided. Their excellent behaviour is evident in all aspects of school life."
