Over the Spring term, Year 4 have learnt all about electricity in Science and DT.  To finish our learning, we went to visit Race Solar Farm!   We found out about what the solar panels are made of, how they work and why renewable energy is important.  We also found out about the wildlife that can be found on the site. We were incredibly lucky to have an Education Officer from Earth Energy Education visit our classrooms in the afternoon and provide an informative and exciting solar energy workshop in which the children investigated which areas in school received the most light.  Solar power really is super!
